Rainbow Lady's Challenge this week is sponsored by Whimsy Stamps. And the theme for this week is "Christmas Sweet Treats".
This week I have opted for a tag - diecut from the "Tim Holtz" range. Inked up with distress inks and of course, digi stamp of a teddy bear (Whimsy Stamps), coloured again with distress inks, added some red pearls around the edge to give some dimention.

21st

Made this card for my eldest daughter who is turning 21. I made the flowers by rolling cardstock up similar to quilling, the others with twisting ribbon, stamped the 21, layered together and gave a distressed look with inks and cosmic shimmer mists. The butterfly is from the spellbinder 'fanciful flight' die set. Who could forget a key for 21~ so I placed one for the body of the butterfly...
Happy 21st Ashleigh!

Triple Embossing

This is my entry for Rainbow Lady's DT.
It's a Tim Holtz die, which I cut out with my sizzix big shot and triple embossed. After gluing it together, I attached a broach pin to the back. I later put my name on it and am now using it as my name badge at work!

'Creative Expressions Calling Card Challenge'

Creative Expressions Calling card challenge:
This is an A5 landscape card matted and layered, distress inks used; antique linen, tea dye and vintage photo. I first blended my background with antique linen, stamped over with checkered stamp then dusted over with mica powders (antique set). Spritzed with water and heat set. Stamped figure and aeroplane. Distressed the edges with scissors then inked. Embossed the bottom right corner and whilst molten, stamped into to leave the impression. The topper (ATC) was done in the same way, then eyelet set twice, ribbon threaded through and attached to a clip to look like the plane is flying the tag (banner). Finished off with a border at the bottom cut from a Martha stuart punch. Stamps used are a mix of Tim holtz, Creative Expressions and Andy Skinner.

Products...

All the products/materials I use, can be purchased from 'the Craft Shop', @ Howdens Garden Centre, Inverness.

Outside the box

A5 landscape card, mat and layered, top layer is stamped with 'Kanban' peacock stamp. Then laid an oval nestie from Spellbinders in the centre, traced round and where the stamped image meets the nestie cut round the stamped image, then outside the oval cut about 1.5cm each side of stamped image. Gently placed the nestie back in place ready to cut but having the edges of the oval tucked under the stamped part, cut through with die cut machine. Background colours are spiced marigold and mustard seed distress inks. With the appeture cut, layered on top of black card and stamped sentiment dusting over with mica powders. Layered everything up and outlined edge of base card with a fine black liner to give a faux stitch look.

Red,Red Rose

Another beautiful 'Creative Expressions' stamp.

One of my favorites. Square card stamped in the centre with the rose, then used a large corner swirl stamped opposite corners. Blend worn lipstick ink around the stamped corners. Using the worn lipstick ink, lift with a waterbrush and paint the rose. Red cardstock, black cardstock and red patterned paper. Tear the patterned paper, tear the black cardstock slightly larger, mat and layer.Circle nesties, cut two sizes from the centre of stamped card, layer them up at different depths to give added dimension. Finish off with a bit of ribbon, flowers and sticky gems.

Gorguss on a swing

These cards are easy to do. First find a nice paper pack that you like, then you find the right ink pads or marker pens (copic and promarkers both work really well), but make sure your colouring medium matches the colours of your paper pack.
Die cut a topper from spellbinder die shapes, stamp and colour you image. Mat and layer your papers, layer up you die cuts/ topper, and embellish with coordinating flowers and sticky gems.
